- Manage the tool room inventory, including but not limited to receiving, organizing, and issuing tools and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure tools are in good working condition and arrange for repairs or replacements as needed.
- Keep accurate records of tool transactions, including Issues, returns, and any maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with different departments to understand their tool requirements and ensure timely availability.
- Implement and enforce tool control procedures to prevent loss or damage.
- Assist In the development and implementation of efficient tool management processes.
- Coordinate with suppliers to procure new tools and negotiate favorable terms.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders, addressing tool-related inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized tool room environment for efficient operations.
- Collaborate with safety team to ensure compliance with safety regulations related to tools and equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Knowledge of CNC Programming and tooling preferred.
- Proven experience in tool management or a related field in a similar environment highly desired.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to use computerized inventory systems.
- Knowledge of basic tool maintenance and repair.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in record-keeping. Excellent customer service skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to tools and equipment.
- Continually required to stand or walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to sit.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
- Occasionally subjected to fumes or airborne particles.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
