- Damage Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of damaged properties to determine the extent of the damage and the required restoration procedures. This involves inspecting structural elements, assessing water or fire damage, and identifying potential hazards.
- Project Estimation: Assess the scope of damage in properties affected by disasters. Use knowledge of construction process and workflow to calculate the costs involved in repairs and renovations while considering materials, labor and equipment required to restore property to its former state. Work with insurance adjusters to arrive at an agreed upon scope of work using Xactimate estimating software. Produce supplemental estimates and change orders as the project requires.
- Resource Management: Manage resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure that restoration projects are completed on time and within budget. This may involve scheduling subcontractors, ordering supplies, and coordinating equipment rentals.
