    The Network Engineer is a crucial member of the IT team, primarily focused on the day-to-day management and support of the company's network infrastructure.

    Reporting to the Network and Infrastructure Lead, this role requires a hands-on approach to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the network systems that support core organizational functions.

    This position will emphasize operational aspects, including monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting, while also interfacing with 3rd-party providers to support our growth through acquisitions.


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Network Management & Support:


    Oversee the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other associated equipment primarily using Meraki technology.

    Monitor network performance, ensuring system availability and reliability, and respond promptly to network outages and other issues.
    Configure, manage, and troubleshoot VOIP services, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.


    Operational Excellence:


    Provide hands-on support for all network-related issues, acting as the escalation point of contact for internal teams and external partners.

    Collaborate with IT team members to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.


    Security & Compliance:
    Assist in network security measures, including managing firewalls, and regular security audits to protect data and infrastructure.
    Support adherence to industry standards and compliance requirements, such as PCI-DSS, through diligent monitoring and documentation.


    Documentation & Communication:
    Maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, solutions, and processes.
    Communicate effectively with the IT team and broader organization, providing regular updates on network health, incidents, and maintenance.

    Coordinate with technology vendors, including Cisco, AT&T, and other service providers, to resolve issues and ensure that technology solutions are aligned with business needs and deliver optimal performance.


    Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

    Education & Experience:
    A degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
    Solid experience in network administration and support, with a strong emphasis on practical experience with Meraki infrastructure.


    Technical Proficiency:
    Strong operational knowledge of network components (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) and experience in managing and troubleshooting network infrastructure.
    Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools, as well as security practices and technologies.
    Familiarity with cloud-based networking and enterprise solutions is desirable.

    Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and understanding of how to integrate cloud services with existing network infrastructure and VOIP systems to enhance performance and scalability.


    Certifications :

    Required:
    CompTIA Network+ or equivalent practical experience.

    Preferred:
    Certifications in Meraki technologies or other relevant network management certifications.


    Soft Skills:
    Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.

    CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL


    REQUIREMENTS:
    Willingness and ability to travel frequently to support network projects across various locations.
    Capability to lift and move objects over 25 pounds as part of equipment installation and maintenance tasks.
