Expected annual base salary range:
$62,460 to $97,000

JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Analyst will be responsible for the business analysis for management and assessment of software solutions.
This position will work in a multi-project, cross-functional capacity in the implementation processes to gather business requirements, analyze business processes, and translate business requirements into functional requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The accountabilities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
Defines requirements details needed to implement a desired feature including the exact user experience in the software
Leads requirements and documentation review to identify missing, unclear, or conflicting requirements
Creates and refines requirements documentation including but not limited to functional and non-functional requirements, use cases, process flows and GUI mock-ups
Develops functional specifications for client engagements
Participates in and occasionally leads requirements review, test planning, application validation with subject-matter experts, and user documentation reviews
Ensures functional and non-functional requirements deliverables are documented in accordance with SDLC procedures
Directs interface with development and quality assurance (QA) to ensure functionality is understood and documentation is clear
Creates and delivers presentations both internally and externally with respect to product functionality
Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution
Participates and occasionally leads efforts in determining functional requirements through direct contact with client community and other sources of input
Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience to perform the job.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
Requires at least 5 years' experience in the IT field, preferably in the Pharmaceutical industry
Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form
Superior people skills working in a cross functional capacity to gather business requirements
Ability to analyze business requirements and decompose into detailed functional requirements.
Ability to collect, aggregate, organize, and analyze data
Experience in analyzing and documenting customer business processes
Effective communication skills to facilitate the design, development, and testing of product releases
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Experience dealing effectively with people in various roles
Excellent management and leadership skill.
Close familiarity with IT and Pharmaceutical concepts, practices, and procedures
Proven track record of delivering industry-leading validated applications
