    Description

    Join Clean Harbors as a HM183 Tank Inspector

    Clean Harbors La Place, LA is currently seeking a dedicated HM183 Tank Inspector to join their safety-conscious team. As a HM183 Tank Inspector, your main responsibility will be to perform visual, internal, pressure, and leak tests on various truck-mounted tanks, including hazardous material certified tanks like vac trucks, hydro excavators, oil tankers, and more.

    • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a tank inspector (VIPK inspections) required
    • HM-183 Register Inspector (Tank Inspector) certification preferred

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prioritize Health and Safety in all tasks
    • Perform VIPK inspections (visual, internal, pressure, leakage)
    • Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
    • Conduct necessary tank tests to meet safety standards
    • Perform tank repairs within qualifications
    • Maintain tools and test equipment
    • Help in finding qualified repair shops when needed

    Requirements:

    • 3 years of experience as a tank inspector (VIPK inspections)
    • HM-183 Register Inspector (Tank Inspector) certification strongly preferred
    • 1 year of diesel mechanic experience
    • Basic toolset required (specialty inspector tools provided)
    • Strong computer skills
    • Valid Driver's License
    • Experience in operating heavy equipment is a plus
