    Job SummaryThe Scheduling Leader directs and prioritizes the scheduling of work and allocation of all resources to ensure timely and reliable service to customers in accordance with the corporate business plans.

    An individual scheduler will be responsible for optimizing personnel and other resources for a significant portion.
    Essential FunctionsLead the planning, prioritization, and direction of work and resource allocation for a significant portion of the LDC's field operations, including labor, materials and equipmentAnalyze and implement work load level and company/contractor decisions to enable effective resource allocation to ensure budgetary goals are metResponsible for issue identification, tracking and resolution both internally and externallyDetermine the impact and significance of obstacles/changes in execution of the work plan, prioritize and solve as appropriateResponsible for work direction of clerical resources on an on-going project basis and actively participate in performance management processIdentify opportunities for improvement to procedures, processes and/or personnel based on dataDevelop a proposed solution and partner with the appropriate manager/field leader to implement enhanced improvementsPartner with Planning, Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and material handling to anticipate requirements necessary to meet customer expectations and the business planDefine and participate in the achievement of short and long-term corporate business objectivesResponsible for partnering with Engineering, Planners, and Field Leaders on work preparation as appropriate based upon financial implications, compliance issues and availability of resourcesCollaborate with field leadership in the identification and resolution of productivity or performance issues of field resourcesIdentify, propose and support work management system improvement opportunitiesUnderstand internal and external customer needs and ensure solutions are developed to addressRequired Qualifications For Position1+ years' experience in Electric Utility Distribution Operations or equivalent electric utility work experienceDemonstrated leadership skillsDemonstrated Project Management skills (analytical and organizational)


    Demonstrated knowledge and ability to quickly assess and make sound decisionsDemonstrated proficiency computer skillDemonstrated computer proficiencyAbility to gather and analyze data to make informed decisionsGood communication skills, both oral and writtenBasic understanding of the utility industryKnowledge of safety and compliance requirementsKnowledge of budgeting, construction and maintenance practices and proceduresValid driver's licenseAbility to cover storm/emergency response when/if necessary (possibly night, weekend and holiday)Ability to work various start times starting as early as 4:00 AM CST Monday through Friday.

    Salary Range:
