    Position Summary: As a Shop Apprentice, you will embark on an exciting rotational program that exposes you to various departments within our manufacturing facility. This entry-level position is for current high school students. This role is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in assembly, quality control, machining, polishing, and other essential manufacturing processes. Working closely with experienced supervisors and team members, you will gain valuable skills while contributing to producing high-quality products.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Obtain daily job requirements from assigned supervisor.

    Complete assignments within designated timelines and communicate progress to the supervisor.

    Maintain quality standards by actively participating in projects and ensuring a thorough understanding of tasks.

    Perform routine maintenance on department machinery, equipment, and tools as assigned.

    Familiarize yourself with the quality system requirements to ensure compliance with standards.

    Participate in various tasks such as stress relieving materials (Vibratory), sandblasting raw materials (must pass Pulmonary test), and operating power washers.

    Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations. Secure tools, materials, and equipment at the end of each day.

    Contribute to team efforts by actively participating in team meetings and providing assistance to coworkers and other departments as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Must be at least 16 years of age.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to follow instructions and work independently when necessary.
    • Basic mechanical aptitude is preferred but not required.

    Additional Information:

    The Shop Apprentice program offers a unique opportunity for high school students to gain valuable skills and experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment. It is expected that you will be available 15 to 20 hours per week and be comfortable being placed in various departments.
