Position: Security Technology Specialist

Responsibilities

• Configure and troubleshoot security technology and systems like SIEM, endpoint protection, and data loss prevention.
• Design and implement security architecture, monitor system availability, serviceability, and recoverability.
• Manage system patches, updates, and enhancements for existing security systems.
• Conduct research on new technology for security detection, prevention, and response.
• Develop automation for quicker remediation and response, enhancing system efficiency.
• Write detailed reports on assessment-based findings and propose security enhancements.
• Implement security technology in Office 365 applications, configuring DLP policies, email encryption, and anti-phishing measures.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.

Experience

• Minimum 7 years' experience in a related technical discipline.
• Familiar with IT fundamentals like network protocols, TCP/IP, firewall, and endpoint logging.
• Experience in UNIX/Linux environments, with Cloud experience, preferably Azure.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Powershell, shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python).
• Knowledge of database administration, SIEMs, IDS/IPS, antivirus software, EDR platforms, etc.
• Competent in security issue troubleshooting, providing solutions, and collaborating with teams.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex security matters to various stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their security features.
• Hold professional certifications like CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, or relevant SANS GIAC certifications.
