Job DescriptionGeneral assistance and support to the Health and Safety Manager, ensuring safe practice for the site. Must have station Ergonomics,
knowledge in updating station/ robot lock out tag out instructions. Involved in new hire orientations.Two years or more in similar role.
Main Duties:
To include, but not be restricted to, the following duties:
1. Provide general support and assistance to the Health and Safety Manager.
2. Assist the Health and Safety Manager with Health and Safety monitoring activities.
3. Assist the Health and Safety Officer and Manager with the management of fire/tornado safety throughout the buildings.
4. Assist in Health and Safety audits and produce audit reports and follow up any actions.
5. Assist with the coordination and management of health and safety supplies.
6. Liaise closely with the Facilities Management team to manage issues relating to the facilities service provision, and specifically waste disposal, buildings, fire safety equipment, electrical testing and safety audit non-compliance.
7. Provide clerical support to the Health and Safety Manager and Health and Safety Forum.
8. Assist the Health and Safety Manager to maintain and coordinate any online training software and/or processes.
9. Assist in the identification of need and preparation of risk assessments, compliance and training of staff, with particular reference to machine risk assessments and etc.
10. Review, record checks and file as needed.
11. Review relevant safety signage as requested by Manager.
12. Review and record the First Aid and spill kit provision across local plant.
Required Skills
Knowledge in station Ergonomics,
Knowledge in updating station/ robot lock out tag out instructions
Involved in new hire orientations
Ensure mandatory trainings are completed and turned in on time
Knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of OSHA requirements/ standards.
Completed OSHA 10 or 30 course
Knowledge completing 8D's, creating corrective/ preventative action to avoid re-occurrence
Maintain incident reports
Communication skills reporting out incidents/ environmental issues
Maintain professionalism under pressure
Great with working with management team and production members, EMT experience a plus.
Required Education
High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.
