    About the Role:
    • Squatch has been disrupting the men's personal care space since 2013. With all our new product launches, including a new women's brand, the Compliance team seeks expanded support for regulatory and compliance activities across domestic and international markets. The ideal candidate will be passionate about growing their career in regulatory affairs and compliance in the consumer goods space.
    • This role will report to the Compliance Manager.
    • This is a full-time (hybrid) role with company benefits based out of Marina Del Rey, CA.
    • The anticipated base compensation for this role will be XXXXX to XXXXX. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.
    What You'll Do:
    • Spearhead the organization and maintenance of the Regulatory & Compliance database, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of critical information.
    • Take ownership of documenting procurement processes for raw materials, packaging, and co-manufacturers, maintaining comprehensive records for compliance purposes.
    • Lead the coordination of safety and efficacy testing, including the proactive request of bulk or finished good samples to facilitate timely testing.
    • Own the tracking and management of product test reports, providing regular updates to cross-functional teams to ensure transparency and compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Take charge of product registrations for Health Canada and the California Safety Cosmetics Program, ensuring all necessary documentation and requirements are met.
    • Initiate and oversee toxicological safety assessments, taking proactive measures to address any potential compliance issues.
    • Address general product questions and compliance inquiries independently, demonstrating deep understanding and ownership of compliance matters.
    • Lead and actively contribute to ad hoc projects, taking ownership of assigned tasks and delivering results in a timely manner.
    About You:
    • 2-3 years of regulatory and compliance experience in cosmetics and/or personal care
    • BS in Chemistry or related science preferred.
    • Ability to multitask
    • Clear, concise written and oral communication
    • Understanding of MoCRA and international regulations
    • Experience in using Microsoft Suite and Google tools
    • Strong technical documentation review, evaluation, and submission
    • Experience in using The Good Face Project a plus
    • Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and/or eCommerce industries
    • Experience working in the consumer products industry is highly preferred
    • Someone who gets things done without perfect resources is innovative and works with a sense of urgency
    • Someone who has high standards takes ownership and is invested in the outcome
    • Someone who proactively helps others stays positive and has a good sense of humor
