    A fast-growing business in Provo, Utah, is seeking a Merger & Acquisition Director to play a crucial role in shaping its acquisition strategy and present insightful recommendations to the finance team.

    Job Summary

    Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), this role entails spearheading the execution of our acquisition strategy. The M&A Director will be instrumental in identifying suitable companies, conducting comprehensive due diligence, analyzing financial viability, and overseeing transactions to successful closures. zThe successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving growth through strategic acquisitions.

    Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position

    • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential acquisition targets aligned with strategic growth objectives.
    • Lead due diligence efforts and conduct crucial financial analyses.
    • Ensure the completion of Quality of Earnings reports in collaboration with external accounting firms.
    • Collaborate with legal counsel throughout contract negotiation phases.
    • Provide regular updates to the Investment Committee on pipeline status and transaction recommendations.
    • Conduct weekly meetings with the Executive Acquisition Committee to discuss activities, pipeline status, and market trends.
    • Collaborate with functional leaders to develop pro formas and integration plans during due diligence.
    • Cultivate strong internal and external relationships across various business functions and with stakeholders.
    • Develop valuation models and deliver board-level presentations for investment decisions.
    • Manage multiple acquisition opportunities concurrently.
    • Perform additional M&A-related tasks as required to ensure achieves its annual Acquired EBITDA Targets.

    Skills and Abilities Required

    • Minimum of four years of M&A experience, preferably in transaction services or lead advisory roles.
    • Proven track record in managing M&A processes.
    • Prior experience in healthcare transactions is advantageous.
    • Ability to handle multiple acquisitions simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in building financial models and assessing target growth potential.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced transaction environment with tight timelines.
    • High energy, collaborative, and adept at establishing credibility with stakeholders.
    • Self-motivated with strong initiative and assertiveness.
    • Problem-solving skills with the ability to propose effective solutions.
    • Team player with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience engaging with C-suite executives.
    • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees are beneficial.
    • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
    • Strong attention to detail and willingness to work beyond standard business hours.
    • Willingness to travel occasionally, estimated at around 15%.
