    Description
    Summary:

    AIPAC seeks a Development Assistant to support the diverse activities of the AIPAC Development Department.The Development Assistant is key in supporting the Development department's efforts. The Development Assistant reports to the Director of Development Operations.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Providing administrative support to the Chief Strategy Director for National Affairs.
    • Data entry of various specialized pledge and payment transactions on donor database records.
    • Serve as a first-level point of contact for donor phone and email inquiries related to donor accounts, commitments, payments, and acknowledgments.
    • Prepare and distribute email marketing messages to various donor and prospect constituencies.
    • Run and provide accurate and detailed donor reports.
    • Assist in database updates and creating data sets for analysis, including manual lookups and data clean-up.
    • Support preparation efforts for AIPAC events, both in-person and virtual.
    • Prepare expense reports,reimbursements, and handle purchase orders for the department.
    • Other tasks as assigned.
    Qualifications & Skills:
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Highly detail-oriented
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
    • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive material
    • Ability to exercise sound judgment can work both independently and in cooperation with others
    • Experienced in managing projects and creating accountability structures to ensure timely positive outcomes.
    • Experience with Salesforce, donor database, or gift entry is strongly preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, and Excel
    • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • 1-3- years of work experience in development or client services preferred but not required
    • A deep commitment to the U.S.-Israel relationship
