- Set-up products for customers as requested on orders (to include mechanical and electrical assembly and adjustments to satisfy orders).
- Integrate and configure electronics/products to power wheelchairs.
- Troubleshoot electrical/assembly issues.
- Assist the Research & Development department in new product builds and validation.
- Thoroughly test units to ensure that all functions are operating properly.
- Log all serial numbers of serialized sections used on orders.
- Stock shelves in the production area.
- Package products properly for shipment.
- Keep the Logistics department informed on the status of orders.
- Assist in the technical review of all returned materials.
- Asist team members with questions regarding customer returns.
- Maintain OSHA Safety guidelines and other regulatory State and Federal standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the AVID support work area.
- Follow company safety policies and participate in Safety Training as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- ATP knowledge is preferred but not required.
- Computer/electronic skills.
- Must abide by Company safety policies and participate in Safety Training as required.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
- Manual dexterity, good physical condition and strength, and good balance is needed for safety.
- Problem-solving skills are needed.
- A willingness to work overtime, arrive early, and/or stay late according to business / project needs.
- Must be dependable with an excellent attendance record.
- Must have an employment record free and clear of any serious infarctions including, but not limited to, a history free and clear of limitations which may cause/may have caused safety concerns, issues, incidents and/or accidents.
- Must speak, read, and write English.
- Must have a valid US driver's license in good standing and maintain throughout employment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Job DescriptionSalary: $17.50/hrJOB SUMMARY: The Production Mechanical/Electrical Technician is responsible for assessing product configuration, troubleshooting products, setting up and configurating hardware/software, etc.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organizational policies and procedures. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Educational Requirements: A high school diploma with at least four (4) years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of closely related experience, education, and/or training.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb/climb ladders, or balance; use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is required to safely lift or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
