    Job Summary


    The IT Systems Engineer will assist in the design, execution, and/or maintenance of our Azure infrastructure, including computational workflows, cloud-based web application/solution deployments, network architecture, and data versioning and lifecycle management.

    This individual will also work closely with our Cyber Security team in remediating high priority incidents and helping maintain production stability, security, and customer server at the highest standards

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities
    Design and implement overall Azure infrastructure project components with infrastructure teams, ensuring that overall solution is designed to meet SLA, DR, monitoring, security, and scalability needs required by the solution
    Must be able to Implement, monitor and maintain Azure solutions including major services related to Compute, Storage, Network and Security
    Manage the day-to-day operations of the Azure cloud environment Including Windows Virtual Desktops
    Must have a solid understanding of integration between Azure AD and on-premises AD
    Must be able to manage Azure applications like Databases, App Services, Logic Apps, function Apps, etc. DevOps a plus.
    Thorough understanding of Azure AD administration
    Complete technology refreshes, upgrades, and maintenance releases at times that minimally impact the core business
    Must have a solid understanding of Office 365 management and administration

    Supervisory Responsibilities
    This role has no direct reports.

    Critical Results
    Network availability is maintained at over 99%
    Network responsiveness
    Ensure system downtime is at a minimum and that ticket resolution begins with 60 minutes of submission for all critical request/critical quarter-end close

    Education & Experience
    Hands-on Azure administration experience
    Advanced Azure systems knowledge
    Must be proficient with Azure Windows Virtual Desktops
    In-depth knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows Server
    Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
    Proficient in PowerShell
    Detail oriented
    Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skill
    Effective time management skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, can handle multiple tasks and set priorities
    Excellent technical problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and/or in a team- oriented manner
    Performs other duties as assigned.
    Able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed

    Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies

    Experience: 4+ years of demonstrated IT experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise level, mission-critical applications resolving highly complex issues/situations and driving technical resolution across cross-functional organizations.

    At least 2+ years of cloud experience.

    Physical Requirements

    This position works under usual office conditions and will require travel as needed.

    The employee is required to work at a personal computer as well as be on the phone for extended periods of time.

    Must be able to stand, sit, walk, and occasionally climb. The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed. Physical demands include ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
