We are currently offering a substantial $10,000 Sign-On Bonus through the DSCYF Recruitment and Referral Program.

$10,000 signing bonus for full-time Merit Family Service Specialists, paid in two installments. Commit to two consecutive years with DSCYF.
$2,500 referral bonus for existing DSCYF employees who refer new full-time employees, paid in two installments.

Note: This program is administered by The Department of Services for Children, Youth, and their Families and may be subject to termination by the State.

Summary Statement

Join us as an entry-level Family Service Specialist at DSCYF. You will be directly involved in providing professional social work services to children, youth, and families, working towards resolving various challenges and issues that may arise within the community.

Essential Functions

Advocate for clients' well-being and assist in obtaining necessary services.
Conduct interviews and formulate action plans to address client and family problems.
Determine eligibility for social service programs and develop service/treatment plans.
Provide counseling sessions, assess progress, and maintain accurate records.
Intervene in crisis situations and collaborate with relevant authorities if needed.

Job Requirements

We are looking for passionate individuals interested in paraprofessional or professional health and human service work. Responsibilities may include assessing client needs, connecting them with resources, and addressing family conflicts.

Additional Posting Information

***2nd shifts include a 5% shift differential.***
Writing Exercise: A writing exercise will be given at the time of interview.
