Job Summary

VSolvit is currently seeking a Field Network Engineer I in support of the U.S. Army—Dugway Proving Ground Data Sciences Division (DSD) IT Support Contract. This position is contingent upon award of new contract.

As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), and staying focused on the assigned tasks including company meetings, and completing other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct test support, to include setup, teardown, retrograde and equipment inventory, as requested
• Maintain strict security posture by keeping all networking components and equipment up-to-date with the latest patches and updates
• Respond to, troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to network outages
• Provide recommendations for infrastructure updates to increase networking capabilities
• Track all network-related issues in the SharePoint Help Desk Ticketing System
• Maintain VOIP system to ensure seamless communications

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years' experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• 4+ years' experience with Office Management, clerical, or administrative roles
• CompTIA Security+ and Network+ certification
• 2+ years' experience in infrastructure, network monitoring and network management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

1. Associates level degree
2. Familiarity / experience with CISCO ISE & wireless technologies
3. Experience working with the military and/or government on a restricted installation

Additional Requirements

1. United States Citizenship required
2. Active DoD SECRET Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one
