The Town of Mashpee Department of Public Works welcomes applications for Summer Custodians; $20.00/hour. Position works 40 hours/week, 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.

The position seasonally begins mid-June, however applications will continue to be considered throughout the season or until all positions have been filled.

Positions could run through late-August dependent upon applicants seasonal availability.

Minimum Requirements:
Must be a minimum of age eighteen (18). High School Diploma or GED with demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities. General knowledge of cleaning materials and methods. Ability to perform moderately physical labor. Must possess a valid MA driver's license (Class D). Must successfully pass a C.O.R.I. background check.

Responsibilities:

Assists the custodial staff with the summer cleaning of the schools from floor to ceiling; moves and stacks furniture; operates vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers and buffers, carpet cleaners, mops, brooms and other custodial/maintenance equipment; may assist with interior and exterior painting.
