- Stays current on best practices in the integration of technology with the curriculum.
- Advocates for the school library program to include communication to stakeholders
- Works with teachers and administrators to build and strengthen connections between student information and research needs, curricular content, learning outcomes, and information resources
- Assists students in becoming critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information
- Develops the school library program vision and mission and implements measurable goals and objectives
- Arranges for flexible scheduling of the school library media center to provide student access to staff and resources at the point of need
- Perform other duties as assigned by Head of School
- Participate in all school-sponsored professional development programs
- Reflect on teaching practices and seeking appropriate help and support from the leadership team and colleagues
- Attend designated school functions outside of school hours
- Attend and participate in all staff, committee, and grade level meetings
- Successful background and reference checks
