Program Descriptions

Deaf Community Counseling Services (DCCS) partners with various organizations to offer mental health services to Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. The program ensures culturally sensitive care with providers fluent in ASL and other communication assistance.

DCCS provides a range of services including mental health assessments, therapy, psychiatric services, and case management for Deaf individuals to access support systems.

Job Description

The Program Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of DCCS, including staff management, budgeting, policy development, and program integration. They lead a team to ensure compliance with regulations, foster a welcoming environment for clients, and represent the program in the community.

Additionally, the Program Director collaborates with internal teams, manages program requirements, and participates in organizational meetings to drive program development.

Program Specific Responsibilities

Supervise program service delivery, recordkeeping, and outcome objectives
Monitor contract deliverables and expenditures
Ensure staff compliance with reporting requirements
Oversee clinical documentation and quality control processes
Coordinate outreach efforts and community presentations
Recruit, train, and evaluate program staff

Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have fluency in American Sign Language and experience working with Deaf individuals. They must hold a valid California license in LCSW, MFT, or LPCC, with a Master's degree in a related field. Additionally, the candidate should have a background in psychotherapy, supervisory experience, and familiarity with clinical approaches.

Knowledge of ADA and anti-discrimination laws, along with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, are essential for this role.
