Job Responsibilities

Lead a team of skilled software engineers in spacecraft software development
Collaborate with hardware and system engineers to define software requirements for fault-tolerant spacecraft
Prototype innovative software solutions and test their viability
Implement designs in C/C++, run unit tests, and integrate software components
Assist in system verification and qualification processes
Take ownership of software development from inception to post-launch support
Verify hardware-software interfaces with hardware engineers
Occasional travel to our El Segundo, CA headquarters

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
7+ years of C and C++ programming experience
Strong ability to work in dynamic environments and collaborate effectively
Experience leading software engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Linux in embedded environments
Knowledge of satellite systems and components
Experience with agile development processes
Familiarity with board support packages and device drivers
Skills in Python programming and Verilog/FPGAs
Understanding of serial data protocols (HDLC, I2C, SPI)
Familiarity with git, JIRA, and confluence
Active U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start

Compensation

Level 4: $130,900 - $192,500
Level 5: $161,500 - $237,500
