JOB CLASSIFICATION: The technician is responsible for maintaining machinery in the opening/carding department, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
POSITION REPORTS TO: Opening/Carding Supervisor
POSITION OVERVIEW: Responsibilities include machinery operation, troubleshooting, and ensuring quality standards are met. The technician must be able to handle repairs, conduct inspections, and address safety hazards.
- Capable of climbing and using ladders up to 14' high
- Standing and walking 10 to 11 hours per shift
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. with assistance
- Performing machinery repairs and maintenance
- Operating required tools and equipment
- Monitoring machinery for quality issues
- Reading and color recognition abilities
- Competency testing
- Dependable and detail-oriented
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in operating Lift Truck, Sky Jack, Pull Cat
