Siegwerk in Edinburgh, IN is looking for an Ink Technician to join our team As an Ink Blender you will perform a broad range of technical tasks pertaining to daily ink room management and operation under the direction of the Ink Room Manager.

Shift: Overnight, 12 hour rotating; every other weekend

ex. Sun, Wed, Thurs (36hrs) - Mon, Tues, Fri and Saturday (48hrs following week)

Responsibilities

• Assists customer with ink room operations.
• Coordinates job set up for presses.
• Formulates and blends inks as required.
• Maintains inventory control standards.
• Organizes inks for press runs.
• Returns inks from press to appropriate area.
• Performs press-side color matching.
• Operates color computer.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Experience working with solvent ink is preferred.
• Color matching ability and knowledge of inks and films preferred.
• Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, communications skills, and demonstrated initiative in problem solving/troubleshooting required.
• Knowledge of basic computer operating and a good working knowledge of IMS.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence
