Brief Description
Overseeing all aspects of the CAP's Continuing Education Program relating to and affecting the Program's compliance with continuing education standards and guidelines.
Liaising with accrediting organizations and serving as the knowledge resource to CAP staff, members, faculty, and external customers.esearching, monitoring, and communicating trends and changes related to continuing education requirements and guidelines.
Needing minimal supervision, independent decision-making, and problem solving
Specific Duties
Assure accreditation compliance in the development, execution, maintenance, and review of continuing medical education (CME) activities.
Serve as the knowledge resource and provide regular guidance, clear direction, and training, as needed, to CAP staff, members and faculty on continuing education policies, procedures, and requirements.
Liaise and foster relationships with contacts from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), American Medical Association (AMA), CE Broker and other regulatory bodies.
Develop and maintain strong positive relationships with leaders in the CME community.
Manage the review, evaluation, and approval of all directly sponsored, joint sponsored and co-sponsored continuing education applications in collaboration with CAP member groups and in accordance with established standards and guidelines of the ACCME, AMA, and other regulatory bodies.
Oversee the process and support the collection and management of disclosure data for CAP continuing education programs. Research, monitor, and communicate emerging trends and changes pertaining to continuing education requirements and guidelines.
Work with evaluation staff to identify and suggest actions for addressing deficiencies and opportunities for improvement/enhancement, specifically addressing our CME accreditation status.
Maintain the CAP's ACCME and appropriate state agency accreditation as a continuing education provider through initiation of the application process and renewal and submission of required reports.
Provides education support to CAP members and customers.

ACCME Surveyor highly desirable

Proficiently use MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
Education / Experience
Education:
Bachelor's degree
Related certifications:
Healthcare CPD Professional (CHCP) certification preferred
Experience:
Prior experience in education environment highly desirable
Additional Criteria
10% Travel required
This role is based out of the Northfield, IL headquarters and candidates must reside within a reasonable commute to the office.
