    Responsibilities


    About WDT:


    Westar Display Technologies (WDT), a division of Peraton Labs, delivers world class video processing solutions to both commercial and military cockpit Training and Simulation applications.

    WDT's products can be seen at

    Roles and responsibility for this position:
    The engineer will be responsible for developing: 1) embedded firmware for Westar products, 2) embedded Altera FPGA code and 3) PC-based software for applications that allow customers to configure Westar products for the customer's unique application.

    In addition, the engineer will create appropriate internal design documentation and customer user's manuals to support long-term maintenance of the code and successful customer use of the applications.

    Qualifications


    Education/Experience Required:
    5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD

    Skills and Experience You Should Possess:

    Expertise in:
    C, , VHDL, Python, and other programming languages


    • Expertise in Altera FPGA's and the Quartus design environment
    • Experience in various microcontrollers and their integrated development environments, including ARM Cortex variants
    • Experience in embedded real-time operating systems,
    • Experience with circuit card design
    • Hands-on electronics development experience, including use of power supplies, DMM, o-scope, etc
    Additional Desired Skills/Knowledge


    • Familiarity with Ethernet, I2C, SPI-bus, JTAG
    • Video knowledge a plus, including HDMI, DisplayPort, V-By-One, etc
    • Clear communicator
    • Proficient at Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel Target Salary Range
