Data Analyst - Pittsfield, United States - Berkshire Health Systems
Description
DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONSPrepares various reports and analysis for hospital staff; hospital management; external auditors and external parties as requested. Reports hospital statistics and utilizes discretion and independent judgement in working with contacts to resolve any discrepancies. Responsible for maintaining and reviewing all third party payer logs. Prepares various cost report schedules.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
(Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience:
A minimum of three years of prior healthcare reimbursement related experience is required, four plus years would be preferred.
Experience with Microsoft products (Excel/Word) required
Education and Training:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required.
Will also consider a candidate with an Associates' degree and three plus years of prior work experience in a healthcare reimbursement related environment.
License, Certification & Registration:
N/A

Excellent analytical and communication skills
Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
Must be able to meet deadlines
Must be able to use computer and work accurately with figures
Demonstrated integrity and trustworthiness
Demonstrated ability in problem solving
Must have advanced knowledge of spreadsheet software.
