- Stay abreast of emerging trends in Cloud and AWS database technologies, assessing their applicability to enhance our database infrastructure.
- Develop and implement best practices for database security, performance optimization, and disaster recovery aligning to industry standards.
- Inspire creativity and embrace new technologies to improve operational efficiency.
- 1+ years experience managing and leading a team of database engineers.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS database services, including RDS and DynamoDB.
- Strong proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and automation tools.
- Deep understanding of database performance tuning, optimization, and scalability.
- AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Database - Specialty.

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Database Engineering Manager who is passionate about leveraging cutting-edge cloud technologies. Reporting to the Engineering Manager of Data Infrastructure, you will be a leader within our organization, you will be instrumental in driving innovation, efficiency, and scalability in our database engineering practices across the company.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $180,000-$225,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
