Senior Payroll Specialist

About the Job:

Looking for a detail-oriented professional to fill the position of Senior Payroll Specialist. In this role, you'll be in charge of managing payroll functions, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with regulations. If you have a strong background in payroll systems and experience handling complex processes, this might be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing: Process bi-weekly payrolls accurately, including various compensation items like bonuses and commissions.
Compliance: Ensure all payroll activities comply with regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
System Management: Manage and update payroll systems, ensuring data security and integrity.
Reporting: Prepare and analyze payroll reports for management.
Audits: Lead internal and external payroll audits, resolving discrepancies.
Benefits Administration: Coordinate payroll aspects of employee benefits.
Customer Service: Address payroll-related inquiries promptly.
Process Improvement: Evaluate and enhance payroll processes continuously.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
Experience: 5-7 years of payroll experience, 2 years in a senior role.
Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.

Skills:

Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Understanding of payroll regulations and tax laws.
Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Communication and interpersonal skills.
