    Description

    OVERVIEW:
    Traditions of America, an award-winning, nationally recognized home builder of 55+ lifestyle communities, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer.

    As Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for all aspects of financial planning, accounting, operations, financial reporting, transaction consulting, tax compliance, various regulatory requirements, and other business management matters.

    While your primary responsibilities will be with Traditions of America, you will be involved in the financial management of affiliated companies and interact with various partners.

    You will work closely with the Owners on a wide variety of strategic issues and business development that will be beyond homebuilding.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Assurance of timely and accurate financial reporting (annual and periodic).
    Relationship development and maintenance with lenders, investors, and strategic partners.
    Preparation of corporate and project budgets.
    Establishing and monitoring accounting and financial policies and procedures.
    Treasury management, including monitoring of Revolving Credit Facility.
    Oversight of all tax planning, reporting, and compliance.
    Supervision, training, recruiting and evaluation of all accounting and financial personnel.


    REPORT TO:
    You will report directly to the Partners (2).


    SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
    Senior Controller, Assistant Controller, Project Accountants, Staff Accountants, Accounts Payable Staff.


    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
    Homebuilding experience 5+ years.
    Real estate industry experience 10+ years.
    Public Accounting experience 4+ years.
    Certified Public Accountant.
    MBA.
    Undergraduate Degree in Accounting or Finance.
    Management of public and/or private equity placements.
    Negotiation and management of large dollar, complex asset-based debt facilities.


    SKILLS & ABILITIES:
    Excellent written, oral & presentation skills.
    Strong financial analytical skills.
    Demonstrated executive capability and business knowledge.
    Ability and desire to handle details and teach staff.
