    *$2,000 bonus* for full timers


    Massapequa Center Rehabilitation & Nursing is committed to improving our patients' quality of life & autonomy through innovative rehabilitative services, and an exceptional level of client-centered care and attention. We are seeking a caring and dedicated LPN Desk Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team of skilled health care professionals at our skilled nursing facility in Amityville



    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Provide leadership to facilitate effective patient care delivery.

  • Monitor the condition of patients under their charge, recognize changes in patient condition, implement appropriate interventions, continuity of care, and patient safety.

  • Conform to all regulatory guidelines, ensure adherence to the facility's policies, and maintain compliance with standards of practice and ethics.

  • Delegate unit and patient responsibilities to nursing staff based on each staff member's level of competence.

  • Educate nursing staff regarding the use of all equipment and supplies, safe patient handling techniques, safety procedures, and infection control.

  • Correspond with physicians to ensure that all information is readily available to patient care providers.

  • Record nursing notes, chart admission and discharge dates, and participate in unit staffing & rounds.


  • Qualifications include:



  • Current LPN certification by the State of New York.

  • Mentally and physically capable of performing job duties.

  • Possesses leadership and supervisory qualities.

  • Possesses assessment skills that enable the recognition of condition changes in the resident.

  • Ability to coordinate all functions in the operation of a resident unit through effective team nursing assignments.

  • Maintain meaningful and accurate documentation of services provided.

  • Prior computer skills in (Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office) a plus.

  • LPN: 1 years minimum

  • BLS Certification

  • RN License
