    Description

    Position Summary:
    This position is responsible for engaging community stakeholders and assisting with the building of coalitions throughout central Illinois to establish recovery oriented systems of care that allow for a coordinated network of community based services and supports for those with, or at risk of substance misuse

    Qualifications:
    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelors degree required CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Valid Driver's License and proof of auto insurance.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Community development, organization or outreach experience required, prefer work in non profit or substance abuse treatment SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Experience in working with program development, community engagement or outreachEssential Functions:

    Assist with the planning and implementation of grant programs under the direction of the Director with input from the Principal Investigator, associated researchers and other central administratorsCollaborate with the team to develop new partnerships and strengthen existing partnerships between Carle Health and local, regional and state organizationsEngage community stakeholders and build coaltions throughout central IllinoisSupport development of community prevention/education programming with local leadershipDevelop and sustain relationships with community leaders, local groups and organizations and local authoritiesWorks as part of a team to support and sustain community led action around substance use and treatment resourcesParticipate and facilitate community meetings as directedTravel to various locations within the site plan area for meetings, outreach and other grant related activitiesPresent grant program materials to a variety of constiuents including institution wide, regional collaborations and national meetings as neededServe as liasion between RLC leadership and community groupsDevelop, organize and attend Addiction Recovery department's participation in community eventsWork as part of RLC team to design and deliver innovative community outreach and engagement activities in identified service areaWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
