    Job DescriptionSalary: $17.50/hr

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organizational policies and procedures. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

    • Collaborate with cross functional teams to assist with warehouse operations and assignments.
    • Walk warehouse daily to ensure lot organization and equipment safety.
    • Lead the assigned function of both receiving or shipping.
    • Safely load and unload truck containers.
    • Assist with verifying shipment counts and serial numbers as needed.
    • Stock product.
    • Pick and pack for shipments.
    • Assist with warehouse quality assurance.
    • Provide teams with task-level direction within area of responsibility.
    • Assist in supervising all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure they are correct and carried out in a timely fashion.
    • Aid in inventory control training and execution of cycle and physical inventory counts to ensure inventory is organized and accurate.
    • Assist leadership with warehouse audits and investigative counts.
    • Assist in coordinating all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
    • Collaborate with leadership team to resolve inventory discrepancies.
    • Prior to product storage, count all product, compare to manifest, and check all shipments. Report shortages, damages, and missed shipments to management.
    • Check contents of orders as filled and assembled. Compare quantity, quality, labeling, and address with customer's order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct.
    • Perform relocation, replenishment and consolidation of product as directed.
    • Inform management of resource allocation (staffing, equipment) issues.
    • Maintain proper paperwork including, but not limited to, customer orders and pull sheets.
    • Assist with printing out and distributing orders to warehouse staff as necessary
    • Collaborate with Quality team regarding QRTN areas, and QC related issues.
    • Identify and inform leadership of any discrepancies, errors, and backorders.
    • Maintain tools to complete the necessary tasks.
    • Maintain company safety and OSHA guidelines.
    • Safe operation of forklift and other equipment.
    • Maintain order and cleanliness of the warehouse and lots.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • Must abide by Company safety policies and participate in Safety Training as required.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed.
    • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as sales orders, bills of lading, safety rules/guidelines, etc.
    • Must have recent standard forklift experience and must successfully complete Merits s Forklift Driver Training & Safety Course / Certification within the first 30 days of hire date or position acceptance.
    • Strong customer service skills are needed.
    • Must have proficient and basic computer skills and experience for communication such as email, record keeping, documentation, etc., specifically with MS Office 365 applications ​and have current familiarity with Oracle NetSuite, or a similar ERP system, or can be ready, willing, and able to learn within a reasonable timeframe ​and maintain knowledge and skills throughout employment.
    • Manual dexterity, good physical condition and strength, and good balance is needed for safety.
    • Must have the ability to safely lift, move, push and/or pull up to seventy-five (75) pounds. repeatedly, regularly (daily) while maintaining quotas and deadlines.
    • Problem solving and trouble shooting skills are needed.
    • A willingness to work overtime as per business needs.
    • Must be dependable and responsible with an excellent attendance record.
    • Must have an employment record free and clear of any serious infarctions within the past 36-months, including, but not limited to, a history free and clear of limitations which may cause/may have caused safety concerns, issues, incidents and/or accidents.
    • Must speak, read, and write English
    • Must have a valid FL State Driver's License in good standing and maintain throughout employment.
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

    Educational Requirements: A high school diploma with two to four (2-4) years of relevant experience.

    Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb/climb ladders, or balance; use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is required to safely lift or move up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
