Overview
o South Mountain Creamery is a family-owned dairy farm and home delivery service based in Middletown, Maryland.
o We are looking for a refrigeration tech to maintain and repair our refrigeration equipment and systems.
o You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our coolers, freezers, trucks, and ice machines.
Responsibilities
o Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on refrigeration equipment and systems.
o Diagnose and repair any malfunctions or defects in refrigeration equipment and systems.
o Install, test, and commission new refrigeration equipment and systems.
o Follow safety procedures and regulations when working with refrigerants and electrical components.
o Document and report all work done, parts used, and problems encountered.
o Provide technical support and guidance to other staff members as needed.

Requirements
Qualifications
o Mechanical Proficiency
o Technical Aptitude
o Troubleshooting
o Must be able to troubleshoot and repair commercial refrigeration systems
o Reliability
o Basic knowledge of HVAC Commercial Refrigeration
o A self-starter that can work independently as well as work with a team
o At least 2 years of experience as a refrigeration tech or similar role.
o Certification in refrigeration, HVAC, or electrical systems preferred.
o Knowledge of refrigeration principles, equipment, and systems.
o Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and codes.
o Ability to use various tools and equipment safely and effectively.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
o Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
o Some travel is required
