    Summary:

    The Digital Business Lead is a leadership role in the Partner Workstation program that offers opportunities to make meaningful impacts on client experiences and business outcomes related to our client portal serving tens of thousands of wealth management clients. You will interface and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across digital services, practices and regions, as well as Partner Workstation development teams and members of other platforms and journeys. You will act as a subject matter expert, leveraging your specialized knowledge around acquiring, advising and servicing high net worth clients to inform and influence decisions toward delivering an end-to-end digital experience consistent with our level of care in providing excellent service and advice.

    Primary Duties:

    • Accountable for:
      • Representing the interests and priorities of the WM Practices and our client-facing partners so that Partner Workstation is consistent with our messaging, advice and best practices
      • Business outcomes related to Partner Workstation, from delivering ROI to promoting client satisfaction and loyalty, and more
    • Responsible for:
      • Prioritizing Functional Features
      • Serving as an integrated SME resource for development teams by providing immediate business feedback or approval on requirements and changes
      • Developing deeper WM domain knowledge across members of the Partner Workstation program
      • Providing business context, perspective and feedback on design work
      • Regularly engaging in active usability testing
      • Gaining alignment among stakeholders on priorities and functional features
      • Advocating for business needs of the platform and making the business case for resources and capital investments
      • Participating in key client, prospect and meetings upon request from the field
      • Leading product demos, roadshows and other internal/external engagements, in collaboration with Product Lead
    • Involved / Influential in:
      • Setting the strategic vision and direction for the Partner Workstation platform, collaborating with others
      • Managing feedback and future enhancements backlog, alongside Product Lead
      • Developing a best-in-class unified team culture across the program that is business led, product enabled and technology powered
      • Ensuring Partner Workstation interests and objectives are considered/reflected in other WM initiatives
      • Collaborate with Change Management teams on creation, delivery and maintenance of resources, educational content and communications

    Knowledge, Skills & Experience

    • 5+ years in a client-facing role within Northern Trust Wealth Management
    • Expertise in practices such as Investments, Trust & Advisory, Banking and/or Sales
    • Financial industry designations such as CFP, CFA, CPWA, etc. preferred
    • Graduate degree in business-related field a plus
    • Effective communicator in multi-discipline settings regarding both business and technical concepts, often presenting to large internal/external audiences
    • Ability to negotiate and influence others without direct authority
    • Analytical thinker who also exhibits very high EQ and relationship management skills
    • Excel in working collaboratively with others to solve problems, make decisions and drive projects forward
    • Proactive, highly self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset
