    HOW AN OPEATIONS PLANNER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

    Manages an Information Operations (IO) integration and Combat Information Cell (CIC) program to create broad policies and objectives, and for developing short and Iona-range plans and projections for all IO needs. Develops and implements policy and procedures to timely direct requests for IO. Acts as the point of contact (POC) for the implementation of policy and procedural matters. Resolves ambiguities and clarifies requirements for IO. Evaluates overall effectiveness of IO integration across the Air Operations Center (AOC). Determines, formulates, and recommends budgetary, training and organizational requirements, as well as communications support requirements. Coordinates with the IO Team Chief and AOC leadership to ensure the IO Integration Team is mission ready and capable of training, mobilizing and supporting Combatant Commander (COCOM) IO tasking.

    Leads and facilitates sophisticated full-spectrum IO planning for all levels or warfare (tactical, operational, strategic, and political) that combat our current adversaries' primacy in the information environment (IE). Integrates IO plans with traditional plans at the national interagency level and USNORTHCOM and NORAD. Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) in IO, Air Operations Center, Defense Support to Civilian Authorities (DSCA) and the Air Defense of America. Integrates the employment of all capabilities of IO for Effects-based Operations (EBO) in the IE to assist the Air Component, Combatant Command and subordinate Joint Task Forces and NORAD regions. Develops sophisticated IO briefings for the CFACC, COCOM, and JCS on the execution of EBO in the IE. Frames the IE for the CFACC and COCOM. Coordinates directly with COCOM staff and national level interagency for planning and execution of Strategic Communications.

    Represents the organization at conferences and meetings and presents briefings. Leads and/or participates in discussions, meetings, conferences, committees, working groups and special campaign and operational planning sessions. Analyzes areas of concern, identifies problems, and resolves conflicts through persuasive discussions with management and customers. Consults with Combatant Command staffs, other US Government Agencies and working groups, customers and other organization personnel on IO concerns. Prepares reports encompassing long and short range planning strategy recommendations, and presents briefings covering recommendations for courses of action or changes in operational practices through enhanced information operations use. Maintains liaison with technical and professional organizations and industry to keep abreast of trends in the tactics, techniques and procedures of integrated information operations. Prepares and presents briefings which outline problems and solutions and keep management aware of their role in adopting emerging IO. Serves on committees and working groups involved with future strategic, operational and tactical planning. Attends meetings, conferences, briefings and seminars related to IO program planning, IO mission capabilities and advanced IO concept development. Interfaces with service and DOD headquarters and other technical/analytical agencies on advances in state-of-the-art IO mission capabilities and technology.

    • BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
    • 10+ years of experience
    • TS Clearance Required
    • Fighter Pilot or Air Battle Manager experience preferred
    • Air Operations Center experience preferred

    Salary and Benefit Information
    The likely salary range for this position is $107,950 - $146,050. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
