    Description

    Responsibilities:

    $15,000 Sign-On Bonus - Certain criteria is required to qualify for the bonus.

    Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director/Manager of the Perioperative Unit, the Clinical Coordinator provides care of patients within the PACU Department. This position assumes clinical responsibility for the specialty by providing teaching, clinical supervision and evaluation of other personnel assigned to the area. This position is also responsible for duties outlined in the staff registered nurse job description, professional nursing care and related assistance to patients, providing direction to licensed vocational nurses and non-professional nursing personnel in providing direct patient care.

    Qualifications:

    MINIMUM EDUCATION:

    Diploma, AD, or BSN and 5 years of recent clinical experience.

    MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

    5 years recent clinical experience.

    REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

    Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse. Certified in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association. ACLS required within 6 months of employment. PALS/ENPC preferred. Certification in at lease one specialty required. Example: CNOR, SGNA, or ASPAN.

    REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

    Demonstrated proficiency in at least 5 surgical specialties or PACU or Endoscopy preferred. Prior Clinical Coordinator experience preferred.
