Description

Position Objective: As a Computer Programmer (Part-Time), your role within the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of the Director (OD) is crucial in supporting the DTR IT team. You'll be tasked with creating complex technical projects, such as web applications, dashboards, and data analytics tools that interface with OSISoft PI and Maximo asset management system. This opportunity will allow you to work with various platforms and languages like ASP.Net, JAVA, JQuery, Python, and Angular, contributing as a senior member of the team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Implement new software for data tracking and management, updating the database object model.
Utilize advanced knowledge in areas such as machine learning, statistics, text mining, and natural language processing to propose solutions for real-world challenges.
Apply statistical and computational techniques to resolve complex analytic problems.
Lead the development of applications, focusing on scientific applications using R, Shiny, and/or Python.
Collaborate with colleagues on refining and applying advanced statistical methods.
Develop innovative technologies and support core labs for detailed data analysis.
Maintain applications, databases, and software tools while contributing to roadmaps and plans.
Upgrade and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and network infrastructure.
Generate database queries for reports and maintain SOPs for program data management.
Provide technical descriptions of algorithms and contribute to research publications.
Enhance the efficiency of data processing through new programming approaches.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Coursera Machine Learning Certification.
Experience in algorithm development, database management, and data visualization.
Proficiency in Javascript, PyTorch, TABLEAU, Nodejs, and Git.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to multitask and focus on details.
Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
