    Job Purpose

    The Receptionist is responsible for greeting and welcoming employees & visitors as well as general office duties.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    • Answering the main telephone line and direct calls to the appropriate employee
    • Greet, welcome and logging of visitors
    • Receive, sort, distribute and process incoming/outgoing mail
    • Track, order, receive and stocking of office supplies (including kitchen and breakroom supplies)
    • Track vacation time for the company
    • Understand and comply with Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures at all times
    • Additional duties and projects as assigned
    • Use, protect and disclose patients' protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards
    Requirements

    Qualifications
    • High School diploma or equivalent required
    • 1 year experience in a similar role
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
    • Welcoming and friendly demeanor
    • Professional appearance and attitude
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Punctual and dependable
    • Must be a team player
    • Telephone skills
    • Knowledge of customer services principles and practices

    Working Conditions
    • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to move around the work area; Sit; perform manual tasks; operate tools and other office equipment such as computer, computer peripherals and telephones; extend arms; kneel; talk and hear.
    • Mental Demands: The employee must be able to follow directions, collaborate with others, and handle stress.
    • Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
