    We have an exciting opportunity for a Operation Lead to join the ITS architecture and application solutions team in San Diego, CA that will report to the ITS Manufacturing and Quality and ITS Programs and Aftermarket Sustainment Value Stream Managers.


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • As part of General Atomics ITS team, work with the value stream lead in building solution roadmaps and under limited direction represent all aspects of Operations and Supply Chain Value Stream as a hands-on specialist across SAP PEO/QM/MM/PP/PM Modules
    • Drive timely resolution of issues assigned through its entire lifecycle – Inception to Closure
    • Learns General Atomics project methodology and lead cross-functional projects
    • Able to plan, schedule, and coordinate work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates
    • Act as an internal technology consultant for the business; gather business requirements, develop presentations and prototypes to illustrate solution options followed with detailed design, development, testing, implementation, and stabilization of end-to-end solutions
    • Lead crucial conversations during blueprinting, design, and implementation with various business stakeholders and peers from other cross-functional teams
    • Be a good team player with excellent communication and presentation skills who works collaboratively with various IT and business counterparts.

    Job Qualifications:

    • Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical field and six or more years progressively complex experience in programming and computer systems analysis and three or more years supervisory experience. Additional professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
    • Prefer technical experience working with computerized financial, accounting, purchasing, payroll, human resources, manufacturing, or other business related systems.
    • At least 6 years of hands-on experience with various functions within the SAP-ECC Quality Management (QM), Production Planning (PP), Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for paperless manufacturing, Materials Management (MM) and Plant Maintenance Module in a complex business environment involving discrete manufacturing such as: Inventory and Warehouse Management
    • Good understanding of various MES process and workflows
    • MRP Integration with production and procurement
    • Good understanding of the overall plan to deliver process with functional, hands-on experience within the various SAP modules involved
    • Inspection Planning, Receiving and In-process Inspection
    • A self-starter who can bring in strong techno-functional expertise including custom solutions consisting of enhancements via user-exits, BADIs, custom programs, forms, reports, and interfaces
    • Must be customer focused by understanding the business process first and the associated requirements before thinking solutions. Work closely with the business customer on a day to day basis and represent IT in various business meetings

    • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings
    • The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
    • Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential, to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment, and to work extended hours as required
    • Able to lead and manage cross-functional projects and teams
    • Willingness to learn new technologies (SAP and non-SAP), bring new ideas and solutions that meet business requirements
    • Initiative-taking, leading others, leading activities without direct prompt or direction are essential in this role.

    Salary: $90,930 - $162,788
