- Gather and evaluate user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and programmers
- Provide advice to the PM and PO on backlog prioritization
- Create user stories, personas and storyboards
- Determine information architecture and create sitemaps
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
- Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
- Build page navigation buttons and search fields
- Develop UI mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
- Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
- Conduct usability testing
- Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images
- Develop task flows and wireframes based on user needs
- Create supporting artwork for Minimum Viable Products
- Create user training artefacts (including short video)
- Strong experience in the development of artefacts such as sketches, prototypes, high-fidelity mock-ups, motion design, and project documentation
- Proficient in a variety of design and prototyping tools — Sketch, Miro,
- Knowledge of Section 508 and W3C WCAG 2.0 guidelines
- Experience working with teams embracing Agile DevSecOps principles
- Strong skills with User Centered Design (UCD) methods
- Able to work with a balanced team approach sharing context and decisions
- Able to work with the Product Manager (PM) to iterate on the backlog
- Flexible with dynamic changes to the product
- Excellent management, communication, and presentation skills
- Experience collaborating with a team of programmers with a varying of skillsets
- Experience working in a rapid and interactive development environment
- UI Design, UX Design, User Experience Analyst, or Customer-Centered Design Certification
