- Identify ACOG's data sources, select, configure, and implement analytics solutions, build systemsto transform raw data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance data pipelines for processing andanalyzing large volumes of data.
- Identify data requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs in collaborationwith data analysts and other stakeholders.
- Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the datawarehouse or other storage systems.
- Optimize and tune existing data pipelines for improved efficiency, reliability, and performance.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and cleansing processes.
- Design and optimize database structures for both relational and non-relational database systemsin collaboration with database administrators.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and integrate bestpractices into our data infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
- Define data governance and security policies in conjunction with cross-functional teams.
- Document data engineering processes, data flows, and system architectures to create andimplement standard operating procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- 5 years' experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQLdatabases.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, orSnowflake.
- Knowledge of ETL tools and frameworks.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and database design principles.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of security best-practices for data infrastructure tools.
