Mechanical Assembler 1st Shift - Grand Prairie, United States - ITW
Description
Alpine is an ITW company that specializes in providing building component software, equipment, and top-notch service to truss manufacturers. We are at the forefront of offering software solutions to homebuilders for increased efficiency and profitability.
Primary Responsibilities:
- 1st Shift 7:00am - 3:30pm
- Produce quality products by assembling equipment sub-assemblies, modules, and complete machine systems according to engineering specifications.
- Verify parts conformity to stock list and blueprints.
- Layout hole locations, drill, and tap holes in parts.
- Verify alignment and tolerances of moving parts.
- Test assembly operation manually or with powered controls.
- Assemble, set-up, and operate machines to ensure functionality and adherence to specifications.
- Operate metalworking machines to manufacture and repair parts as necessary.
- Conduct quality control inspections on all manufactured parts and components.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following safety protocols.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent and two to four years of relevant experience.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Proficiency in using basic machine shop equipment, hand tools, forklift, crane, and measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Capable of solving practical problems independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work overtime and flexibility to adjust to production hours.
- High safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
- Non-climate controlled environment.
- Standing and walking are required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion.
- Bending, twisting, turning, and manual dexterity are required.
