Who we are looking for:
Atkore, a recipient of a Great Place to Work certification and a Top Workplaces USA award, is searching for a Supply Planner for our PVC Pipe & Conduit Strategic Business Unit to be located at our Harvey, IL facility.
Reporting to the ManagerAdditionally, this role works cross functional with Sales and Operations to ensure that the supply planning processes are executed to meet customer needs while cost/service tradeoffs options are considered to drive continual business improvement and control.
Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is preferred.What you'll do:
Manage finished goods' (mix of manufactured and purchased) transfer orders and inventory at internal (Distribution Centers and manufacturing facilities) and external (agent) stocking locationsOptimize finished goods' inventory levels and availability to effectively service customer demand while minimizing transportation costs; communicate availability and other supply info to internal stakeholdersTrack, report, and analyze performance results to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); investigate root cause and action shortfallsIdentify and manage excess & obsolete productWork cross functionally to achieve organizational results and drive continuous improvement in processes and toolsWhat you'll bring:Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or other relevant field; or 4-8 years' relevant working experience, as an equivalency1-3 years' supply or inventory planning experience (with degree); 4-8 years' (without)
Established ability to work with, and create Excel/Database files (i.e. formulas, pivot tables and troubleshooting); experience manipulating SQL queries and using ERP and/or MRP systems, preferredStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsCapacity to perform at a high level in a fast-paced working environmentAbility to work under minimal supervision, plan workload, and establish prioritiesAbility to communicate effectively and comfortably with all levels of the organization, both written and verbalDemonstrate Atkore Core Values - Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, ExcellenceMust possess a positive attitude, be a team player, and have a strong work ethicWithin 3 months, you'll:
