    Description

    Position Summary

    As an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA), your role is crucial in providing clinical support to our patients and dentists. Your responsibilities include patient care, maintaining records, and scheduling appointments in our dental offices.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Clearly demonstrate knowledge of dental instruments and provide chairside assistance to dentists
    • Maintain inventory control in treatment operatories
    • Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC guidelines
    • Deliver exceptional patient interactions related to scheduling and post-surgery care
    • Perform basic lab procedures like taking impressions and preparing cases
    • Ensure the public area is well-maintained
    • Perform other assigned job-related duties

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or GED required
    • Willingness to learn new technologies and systems
    • State-specific licensing (e.g., PA - Radiation Health and Safety certificate)
    • Preferably certified as a Dental Assistant
    • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexible scheduling
    • X-ray License required

    Knowledge and Skills/Expected Competencies

    • Proficiency in dental instruments and patient care
    • Clear communication of medical information
    • Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills
