    We are the People eXperience Foundation organization (PXF), responsible for building the employee experiences and distributed web services that supports over 1 million Amazon employees every day through the Amazon culture.

    Our product innovations guide employees by anticipating their needs and enabling them to complete tasks through low-effort, highly automated and intelligent workflows.

    Key job responsibilities

    As a Software Development Engineer in the PXF Docs team, you will focus on the Employee Document Management (EDM) product that provides self-service capabilities to our candidates and employees solving for document generation, digital signing and compliance support through "one-click" capabilities.

    You will invent and develop modern, experiences and services using AWS technologies.

    A day in the life

    Are you passionate about developing architectures that scale and perform at high availability using AWS technologies? Do you have the customer obsession to build a highly available experience for hundreds of thousands of Amazon employees? You will contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, documentation and operations.

    About the team
    You will be joining the PXF Docs team within PXF Org.

    Our team is working on building Employee Document Management (EDM) to create a unified experience for managing the lifecycle of employee documents.

    With EDM, employees will be able to view, acknowledge, upload, generate and digitally sign documents on any device.

    We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

    Bellevue, WA, USA | San Diego, CA, USA

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3+ years of noninternship professional software development experience
    • 2+ years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
    • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
