- Assembles all instrument procedure trays and kits according to the prescribed manner using content lists as a guide.
- Dispenses products requested for sterile and non-sterile equipment and supplies. Assigns priority to emergency requests and issues required supplies and equipment based on knowledge of procedure intended
- Assembles instrument trays and supplies according to established aseptic technique.
- Disassembles and cleans equipment such as suction machines, IV monitors, heating pumps, wheelchairs and walkers using approved disinfectants, detergents, soaps and cleaners.
- Replaces lost or damaged parts such as tubes, containers and connectors from stock on hand. Examines sterilization/expiration dates on procedural trays and kits; cleans shelves and work areas and mops liquid spills from floors as necessary.

High School Graduate / GEDGraduate from a Sterile Processing Technician school.
Current Sterile Processing Technician Certification or agreement to obtain within 6 months of employment.
Central Sterile experience required.
