    Job Description

    Who We're Looking For

    You are a software engineer who wants to design and build core technologies for scaling up systems to thousands of servers for managing and analyzing petabytes of data.

    At the same time, you have a special passion for scalability and sustainability of software development. In this position, you will work on evolving an event-driven automation platform.

    You will be responsible for designing a product that is highly available, fault tolerant and responsive from the ground up.

    You will also collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure that our development practices are sustainable, so that our product can stay secure and compliant, and that our engineers can work easily with top-notch technologies.

    You enjoy learning something new everyday, and you are motivated to aim for the best development practices possible.
    Responsibilities
    Build scalable infrastructure specifically targeted to the cloud environment
    Design, document, and implement new web service APIs for internal and external services
    Contribute to the continuous evolution of our engineering best practices
    Implement CI pipelines to automate anything that can be automated in our process
    Enable integration of DNAnexus services with external systems
    Qualifications

    Few years of core software development experience, strong computer science background
    Team-oriented, with strong communication skills
    Experience with Docker and general familiarity with the Linux shell
    Demonstrated ability to pick up new technologies and quickly adapt to new paradigms
    Understanding of database management systems - relational and NoSQL
    Eligibility to work in the Czech Republic
    Nice to have
    Knowledge of AWS, including VPC, IAM, Lambda
    Experience with monorepo management tools like Rush.

    Experience in building and maintaining scalable distributed systems
    Experience with MongoDB
