    About the Senior Engineer Contractor Role

    Open Influence's engineering team is looking to hire a senior full-stack engineer in a contractor role to help create and maintain our influencer marketing platform, which includes everything from collecting data from social networks to working on the search engine that helps clients sort through it all to work on the front end that clients interface with to plan, execute and analyze their campaigns. We deal with large datasets and use data to help drive many client decisions. The list below is our ideal Wishlist. We don't expect you to be able to satisfy every single requirement 100%. We're big believers in personal and professional growth, so we expect you always to be learning and interested in the areas where you have less experience.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • A minimum of 5 years experience in designing and developing large-scale systems and web-based applications.
    • Proficiency in front-end technologies, HTML, CSS, and JS frameworks like React and
    • Mastery of Python, Django, and RDBMS such as Postgres or MySQL.
    • Knowledge of Functional Programming and Object-Oriented Programming paradigms.
    • Experience with version control systems, specifically Git and GitHub.
    • Experience with Agile (Kanban) development processes.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work remotely with at least a 5-hour overlap with 9 am - 6 pm US Pacific Time.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with performance tuning, identifying, and resolving bottlenecks.
    • Familiarity with the ETL process and handling of larger data sets.
    • Familiarity with ElasticSearch
    • Comfortable with full-stack development, emphasizing front-end efforts to modernize platforms.
    • Experience or keen interest in innovative product development.
    • Strong understanding of and experience with big data solutions.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with product, developers, and stakeholders to create visually stunning and responsive user interfaces.
    • Design, build, and maintain Open Influences Platforms across the entire technology stack.
    • Contribute to the design and development of backend architectures that address high workloads.
    • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using modern web development languages and practices.
    • Develop and maintain reusable code libraries and frameworks.
