    GU Energy Labs is a family-owned market-leading global sports nutrition brand, and we are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team

    This position diagnoses equipment malfunctions and makes repairs and adjustments as needed. Experience with horizontal form seal pouching line or similar food manufacturing equipment is required. This position is also responsible for ensuring optimal operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance work orders, responding to maintenance calls, and performing general equipment maintenance. We are looking for someone who is dependable, with excellent communication skills, and the ability to jump in and help when needed. The Production Maintenance Technician inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications.

    This is a swing shift position, working the hours of 2pm to 11pm, Monday-Friday. Some weekend and overtime work required.

    You are excited about this opportunity because you will:

    • Complete preventive maintenance work orders on equipment by following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications
    • Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical malfunctions
    • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by informing the Maintenance Manager of what parts are used and/or needed
    • Document and communicate actions
    • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
    • Contribute to team effort and demonstrate responsibility and initiative by completing job assignments and requests efficiently
    • Observe Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)

    We are excited about you because you have:

    • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
    • 5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance
    • Experience with troubleshooting (diagnostics, problem solving, etc.)
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks through completion within assigned deadlines
    • Able to read equipment manuals and apply knowledge to make repairs
    • Experience with base electrical systems (starters, fuses, contacts, relays)
    • Experience with mechanical systems (gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, bearings, etc.)
    • Experience with electronics (level probes, flow meters, drives/VFDs, etc.)
    • Experience with pumps (seals/motors, understanding specs, etc.)
    • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (SOPs, safety, national standards such as lock-out/tag-out)
    • Experience with food manufacturing or packaging equipment required
