    SVP, Culture & Belonging Accountability Statement

    Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the SVP of Culture and Belonging is responsible for planning and directing all aspects of the VyStar organization's culture and belonging programs. This role involves implementing retention efforts and training that maintains a talented and diverse workforce. The SVP develops and implements segment-wide programs to educate, engage, and empower employees. Additionally, they consult with key executives across the enterprise to support and educate line of business leaders on the mission and vision for our culture and belonging work. The SVP also maintains awareness of regulatory and market conditions that may affect the organization's culture, engagement, and diversity & inclusion initiatives, proposing and implementing changes as needed to ensure compliance and sensitivity to the needs of all employees. This includes developing a language for the company's HR function to communicate in and occasionally partnering with the government affairs and community engagement teams to raise awareness and identify partnerships that support the company's culture driven initiatives. The incumbent will successfully partner with other HR functions including benefits to create a psychologically safe environment for all employees to enjoy. Collaboration is key.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Manage the enterprise culture and belonging effort within a broader corporate function.
    • Identify, develop, and foster relationships with industry thought leaders, consultants, vendors, and partners to apply best practice thinking and drive a belonging mindset and priorities across the business.
    • Develop and deliver segment-wide programs, initiatives, and services to advance inclusion, engagement and wellness within the organization. Set goals and monitor program effectiveness on the inclusive culture and diverse workforce and overall employee engagement.
    • Integrate D&I into HR strategies, practices, and processes including work related to employee resource groups.
    • Collaborate with HR business partners to review policies developed within various sub-functions to ensure compliance with EEO guidelines.
    • Build strategic relationships with external stakeholders in support of community DEI initiatives.
    • Collaborate on strategic decisions affecting employee acquisition, retention, engagement, and wellness enterprise wide.
    • Conduct workforce analysis and report trends and statistical information to the Senior Leadership team and line of business leaders.

    Job Qualifications

    Education:

    Required: BA/BS from an accredited institution.

    Preferred: MA/MS in Human Resource Management, Diversity & Inclusion Leadership, Psychology, Sociology, Communications, Public Affairs, Business.

    Experience:

    Required: 5+ years of relevant experience in cultural development, communications, public relations, business and/or community partnership development AND 3-5 years of program facilitation and management of cultural and/or community development and deployment.

    Preferred: 5+ years of diversity, equality, inclusion, and cultural program development and administration, including project management. Community relations/engagement and employee resource groups.

    Broad knowledge of current industry trends and developments; considered a thought leader.

    Experience leading projects and organizing resources.

    Demonstrated leadership using a balanced approach to adeptly manage competing interests.

    Skills:

    Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment across the organization, including creating a uniform voice for the HR function to communicate company wide.

    Proficiently organize and manage company-wide events, fostering engagement, collaboration, and a sense of belonging among employees.

    Demonstrate a strong understanding of public policy, government relations, and community engagement. Effectively represent the organization's interests in external forums and build strategic relationships with stakeholders.

    Strong leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical groups including ability to share knowledge resolve conflict and build consensus among many stakeholders.
