    POSITION SUMMARY: Support the goals of BHcare by providing clinical services based on best practices to individuals in the outpatient and intensive outpatient clinic while collaborating with psychiatrist and treatment team in diagnosis and treatment plan.

    Accountable and responsible for the following results:
    • Serve as primary clinician for caseload.
    • Conduct intake assessments/psychosocial evaluations and develop initial recovery plans.
    • Provide individual group and family psychotherapy which is flexible and responsive to clients' needs.
    • Assess clients' abilities and mental health status, needs and preferences and ongoing appropriateness of services.
    • Assist clients on caseload with developing and implementing individual recovery plans. May coordinate comprehensive (integrated) service planning to include members of clients' treatment team and clients' natural supports, including family members conduct regular reviews of recovery plans and modify as needed focusing on goal resolution and discharge.
    • Provide emergency assessment and crisis intervention. Communicate client needs with hospital emergency rooms and emergency personnel.
    • Demonstrate advanced Integrated Dual Disorders Treatment competencies.
    • Monitor and analyze utilization review and productivity of caseload and made adjustments as needed,
    • Obtain insurance authorization for clients as required and complete all requests for re-authorizations by deadline.
    • Complete progress notes, documenting progress on service goals and objectives, psychosocial histories, admissions and discharge summaries, and other documentation within the Organization's guidelines for timeliness.
    • Provide timely documentation and data to Organization's departments, DMHAS, or other sources as required.
    • Perform supervised urine screening and Breathalyzer test as needed.
    • Collaborate with hospital staff regarding inpatient treatment and discharge planning.
    • Serve as a liaison between client, family, other Organization programs, other parts of the mental health system, and other community resources. Provide advocacy as appropriate.
    • Inform and refer clients for benefits for which they may be eligible. Complete clinical documentation for benefits as needed.
    • Foster collaboration within the treatment team and among Organization departments.
    • Maintain clinical records in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, and meet all requirements indicated by payer and licensure sources.
    • Participate as a member of clinical services department and provide back up for clients' needs as necessary.
    • Licensed clinicians may supervise student interns or other staff working toward obtaining licensure. Unlicensed clinicians are actively working towards obtaining licensure.
    • Adhere to any changes in clinically scheduled hours as may occur based on client needs for services including but not limited to evening hours.
    • Will maintain a minimum productivity standard of 60% of total hours worked providing direct (face to face) service to clients.
    • Attends training sessions, workshops, seminars as requested by supervisor, or as needed for professional development, or as required for accreditation or licensing.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Master's or doctoral degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling, psychology or a related mental health field required.
    • Clinical experience in a psychiatric or substance abuse setting preferred.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft 365. Must be able to navigate through electronic health records system (EHR).
    LICENSURE/ CERTIFICATIONS:
    • Professional CT Licensure required (LCSW highly preferred, will consider licensed eligible LMSW or other mental health license (e.g., LPC).
